Arches National Park, Utah
It was one of our last nights on vacation and we weren't entirely sure where to photograph sunset at. The sky was looking fairly un-interesting and we were continuing to scout a location. There are several prominent features which are fairly close together geographically, so we could have wound up at any of them. Something drew me back to Balanced Rock, though. As the sun dipped below the horizon, I began to see the alpenglow on the snow covered La-Salle Mountains in the background. A magical moment for sure, which lasted less than a minute before the colors faded. Good light, Bill
